What you feel you attract

Meditation

Meditation is an ancient practice which helps people go beyond their personalities, profoundly deeper within one self to discover the real sense of TRUE SELF. Since it’s inception, many monks, religious guides, spiritual teachers have emerged but still it holds its techniques and fascination. It includes the training of heart, boosting of minds and cleansing of souls so that our awareness can expand.

The primary goal is to inspire spiritual connectedness, mental clarity, peacefulness, emotional tranquility and physical relaxation.

The best hour to practice meditation is during the early morning at “Brahmamuhrt” when all the societal energies are dormant . It is mindful by nature thought takes beyond our minds. It helps us to go above ,surpass or supercede our mental processes.

Without calmness ,the mirror of mindfulness will have an agitated and choppy surface and will not be able to reflect things with no accuracy.

Meditation reduces stress, depression, loneliness, self confidence , improves concentration, enhanced creativity and happiness.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness meditation is one of the least complex and popular forms of meditation practice in schools. It involves a three-step mental process where students are asked to focus their attention on a particular target eg. Concentrating on breath with the therapy to inhale and exhale, sound or sensation. We need to be present to and present with our actions and live with our words.

To enter into this peaceful space ,one has to ignore all extravenous distractions and fodder rather projecting within one’s thoughts, words and responses.

One may select a method within a specific tradition like Hinduism Buddhism or any image of dirty as many even consider these forms of meditation such as Kundalini , Anapanasati ,and Transcendental meditation as the latter appears to be more beneficial for students. Even reciting mantras may help to detach from our monkey-minds and focus on the highest vibrations as this may result in improvement of one’s relationship, work dynamics and physical health.

Many schools including STEM WORLD SCHOOL is teaching mindfulness meditation as it acts an antidoteto this non stop ,high pressurelife schedule of hectic lessons, sports, gyms, clubs and playdates.

It can help them to work skilfully with stresses without being swept away .

The MiSP( mindfulness in school project) encourages schools to teach the art of mindfulness to expand awareness and known one’s real self.

Jon Kabbat Zinn ,founder father of secular state of mindfulness stated “it is to being alive and knowing it”.
